Die Olivenhaine - Castillo de Canena

Castillo de Canena Canena Estate, Jaén, Spain

Castillo de Canena is a traditional family business with 235 years of experience in the production of Olive Oil. From the care of the olive groves to the commercialization of the olive oils, every step is successfully supported and carried out with the help of decades of knowledge, a lot of patience and accuracy.

The country estate is located in Canena, in the valley of the Guadalquivir River in the province of Jaén, in northeastern Andalusia Spain. The olive trees thrive in a beautiful, hilly environment and a controlled irrigation system with water from the Guadiana Menor river gives the Canena olive oils a sweeter and less peppery taste and promises a harvest full of aroma and natural enjoyment every year.

The olives are harvested from specially selected trees at the perfect time and brought to the mill in the shortest possible time. The mill, with its state-of-the-art machinery and decades of experience and know-how, as well as the high standards set by the owners, Francisco and Rosa Vañó, guarantee an Extra Virgin Olive Oil quality of the highest level worldwide.
