Why organic?
This ham is made from Iberian pigs raised freely in oak woods certified as organic farms and fed exclusively on acorns and natural herbs during the "montanera" fattening period.
Organic Iberian hams and organic Iberian sausages come from organic agriculture and livestock farming based 100% on natural resources to protect the environment. The production of organic sausages is 100% natural, without additives or artificial preservatives, and requires a much more thorough and artisanal care than traditional Iberian sausages.
Señorio de Montanera's Iberian organic products are certified organic by the EU and carry the corresponding leaf-shaped seal. These delicacies contain high levels of oleic acid, which is considered an essential healthy food in the Mediterranean diet.
